Midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah joins Burnley on loan from Chelsea
Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah has joined Burnley on loan through January, Burnley announced Monday.
Chalobah, a native of Sierra Leone, has been a regular on Chelsea and England's youth teams. After beginning his senior career in 2012 on loan to Watford, the 19-year-old spent the 2013-14 season at Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough.
Chalobah can play center back or center midfield.
Burnley was promoted to the Premier League this season for the first time since 2009-10 after finishing second in the Championship in 2013-14. Earlier Monday, Burnley added forward George Boyd on a transfer from Hull City.
The club is 0-2-1 this season after drawing with Manchester United on Saturday.
