Germany's national soccer federation has announced Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil could miss up to three months with a ligament tear in his knee.

German Football Association spokesman Jens Grittner announced earlier in the day that Ozil traveled to Germany with "knee problems" and was scheduled for an MRI. He played the entire game on Sunday for Arsenal against Chelsea, but Ozil reportedly noticed the injury during the match at Stamford Bridge, according to The Guardian

Germany has two Euro 2016 qualifying matches in the next week. They travel to Warsaw to play Poland on Saturday and host Ireland on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
