Adidas on Friday revealed the official match ball to be used in the Women's World Cup in Canada next summer.
According to the announcement from Adidas, the ball has an improved surface structure that offers better grip, touch and stability, and will have improved aerodynamics on the field.
It will also have the same technology as the 2014 FIFA World Cup ball, which was a part the goal-line review system that debuted at this past summer's World Cup. Next year's Women's World Cup will feature the review system for the first time, as well.
The green, red and blue ribbon pattern on the ball, which has been named conext15, is meant to invoke the elements of nature, earth, wind and fire.
