Manchester City star Sergio Aguero appeared to suffer an injury during Saturday's 1-0 win over Everton.

The Argentine striker limped off the pitch in tears after a challenge with Muhamed Besic in the second minute.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini reportedly said Aguero suffered knee ligament damage and added that the 26-year-old is unlikely to play in Wednesday's important Champions League match at Roma.

From BBC Sport:

"Probably he'll miss the game. It is a big problem," Manuel Pellegrini said.

"It is very difficult when you have trouble with your ligament to recover in three days."

Pellegrini also indicated that there would be more information regarding the nature of Aguero's injury on Sunday.

Aguero leads the English Premier League with 14 goals. City, which won the league last year, currently sits three points back of Chelsea.
