The U.S. men's national team kicked off its difficult 2015 slate by dropping a 3-2 result to Chile Wednesday night.

The Americans, who debuted a 3-5-2 formation to being the game, led twice, getting a sixth-minute goal from Brek Shea only to concede four minutes later to Roberto Gutierrez. Jozy Altidore restored the advantage after a solid combination between DeAndre Yedlin and Mix Diskerud in the 31st minute, and the USA took a 2-1 edge into halftime.
