Aaron Cresswell gave West Ham a 1-0 lead over Stoke City in the seventh minute of their English Premier League contest on Saturday.
After a foul by Glenn Whelan, Cresswell stepped up and hit a curling beauty over the wall into the goal's right-side netting, confusing Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic in the process. The Hammers took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break, but the match finished 1-1 after Stoke found a 95th-minute equalizer from Marko Arnautovic.
The goal was Cresswell's second of the 2014-15 campaign. His first lifted West Ham to a 1-0 win over Newcastle on Nov. 29.
