Barcelona announced Tuesday that it has extended the contract of head coach Luis Enrique through the end of the 2016–17 season, according to the Associated Press.

Barcelona completed the treble on Saturday by winning the Champions League with a victory over Juventus. The team also won La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Enrique, 45, was hired by Barcelona last May. As a player, he was a member of the team from 1996 through 2004. He has previously also coached Celta, Roma and Barcelona B.

Also on Tuesday, Barcelona renewed the contract of defender Dani Alves. Alves had 12 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions during the 2014-15 season.
