The Engligh Premier League season is not even five full weeks old, yet Liverpool’s Christian Benteke has already unleashed a goal-of-the-year candidate.

In the 84th minute of the Reds’ 3–1 loss to Manchester United on Saturday, the Belgium international hammered home a phenomenal bicycle kick from 12 yards out that beat United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The tally was Benteke’s second of the campaign after signing with the Merseyside giants in July from Aston Villa. Benteke also scored a cracker of a goal vs. Swindon Town in one of Liverpool’s preseason exhibitions. Liverpool dropped to 2-1-2, while Manchester United improved to 3-1-1.
