With one swift kick of his right foot, Clint Dempsey gave the Seattle Sounders a huge boost in the MLS Western Conference semifinals. 

Dempsey's free-kick golazo lifted Seattle to a 2-1 win over FC Dallas in the first leg of their playoff series, capping a come-from-behind effort to give the hosts an edge entering next Sunday's second leg. Andreas Ivanschitz gave Seattle life with a fantastic solo effort of his own in the 67th minute, tying the game at 1-1 and answering Fabian Castillo's early away goal. 

Dempsey got his chance after a foul on Matt Hedges set the Sounders up for free kick some 25 yards from goal. The U.S. men's national team star got his kick over the wall and out of reach of outstretched goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez, sending the crowd of nearly 40,000 at CenturyLink Field into a frenzy.

Dempsey, who hails from about three hours away from Frisco, Texas, will head home knowing his contribution is what separates the two teams. Watch his golazo below:
