Barcelona and BATE will meet on Wednesday after Barcelona took their Oct. 20 match in Belarus 2–0. Barcelona, first in Group E with seven points, could deal a devastating setback to BATE as the Barysaw club aims to qualify for the knockout stage.

Barcelona has seen injuries to Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta, yet the Catalonian club is tied with Real Madrid atop La Liga's table with 24 points. In the last meeting between Barcelona and BATE, Rakitić scored both goals for Barca.

Messi won't return to Barcelona's lineup for at least a couple more weeks. He will miss the club's Nov. 21 El Clasico meeting with Real Madrid.

To pull an upset, Filip Mladenović will need to turn in a strong performance for BATE. He has scored twice in three Champions League matches.

Barcelona is looking to defend its 2014–15 UEFA Champions League title.
