Spain and England needed a breakthrough, and, man, did Mario Gaspar provide one.

The Villarreal defender snapped a 0-0 deadlock with a brilliant flying volley, putting La Furia Roja ahead and helping snap England's 15-match unbeaten streak, as Spain took a 2-0 win in Alicante.

The magical moment came when Gaspar latched onto a chip from Cesc Fabregas at the top of the box and delivered a stunning, spinning, pinpoint volley that left Joe Hart with no chance in the 72nd minute. Santi Cazorla added a second goal for Spain soon after.
