Lassana Diarra, who plays for France’s international team, confirmed his cousin was killed during Friday’s Paris terror attacks.

Diarra was playing for France against Germany in Stade de France during the attacks, which included an attempted bombing of the stadium. Diarra also plays club soccer in France for Ligue 1’s Marseille.

At least 120 people were killed during Friday’s attacks, the deadliest day in France since World War II.

One of the suicide bombers during the attacks had a ticket to the France vs. Germany exhibition but was turned away when his explosive vest was discovered at the stadium entrance. France and Germany played the whole exhibition, as information was withheld from players and fans to avoid creating a panic.
