Bayer Leverkusen hosts FC Barcelona in the final game of the Champions League group stage on Wednesday. With 13 points in Group E, Barcelona has already clinched first place in its group and a ticket to the knockout stage.

The two clubs played earlier in the group stage, with Barcelona coming away with a 2–1 win on Sept. 29. Bayer jumped out to an early lead, going up 1–0 on a Kyriakos Papadopoulos goal in the 22nd minute. The match stayed tight until the last 10 minutes of the contest, when Sergi Roberto tied the game with a goal in the 80th minute. Luis Suarez added another goal two minutes later to give Barcelona the victory.

Bayer is still eligible for a spot in the knockout stage. The German club is currently tied with Roma with five points. But while Bayer has to play Barcelona on Wednesday, Roma gets to play BATE, which is last in Group E with four points.

Barcelona is attempting to defend its 2014–15 UEFA Champions League title.
