U.S. men's national team midfielder Danny Williams aided Reading's promotion quest in impressive fashion on Sunday.

Williams laced a right-footed golazo from a tough angle, just to the right of the box, early in Reading's 1-0 win over Blackburn, securing a valuable three points for the club. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for Reading, which is four points out of a place in the promotion playoffs in England's second tier.

For the 26-year-old Williams, not typically a volume goal scorer, the tally was his fourth of the season, which sets a new personal best for him in club play. His previous best was three, set two seasons ago with Reading.
