Manchester City came up a goal short in its comeback attempt at Arsenal on Monday, falling 2-1, but that one goal was quite a strike.

Yaya Toure sliced Arsenal's 2-0 advantage in half with a gorgeous left-footed effort. Toure worked a give-and-go with Bacary Sagna at the edge of the Arsenal box, on the right side. Without hesitation and with a single flick of his foot, he dispatched it over a helpless Petr Cech and into the upper left-hand corner of the net, making an extremely difficult shot look rather simple.

The 82nd-minute goal wasn't enough to offset strikes by Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud, as Arsenal pulls within two points of league-leading Leicester City ahead of Boxing Day, while Manchester City remains in third place, four points behind Arsenal and six behind the Foxes.
