Dele Alli’s incredible strike for Tottenham against Crystal Palace Saturday echoed another goal: Stephanie Roche’s FIFA Puskas Award runner-up in 2014.

The two were similar in skill and result and begged at least a comparison, with both taking a touch to themselves, spinning and firing away on the volley. 

Here’s Alli’s goal one more time, featuring the 19-year-old's deft first touch, a creative flick, and a clinical finish into the lower left-hand corner (not to mention that it also gave Tottenham a 2-1 lead en route to a 3-1 victory):

Roche’s goal for Peamount United utilized a similar first two touches, but she instead hit a blistering shot into the upper right-hand corner:

So who volleyed it better: Alli or Roche?
