With the spotlight constantly on every Manchester United result as it relates to Louis Van Gaal's future, every match grows with importance, and Wayne Rooney did what he could to relieve some of the pressure and tension with a moment of brilliance on Friday.

Rooney continued his resurgence with a gorgeous curling goal in the early stages of Manchester United's fourth-round FA Cup match vs. Derby County. Rooney took a touch inside from the corner of the box and unleashed a right-footed shot that bent inside the far post and evaded diving goalkeeper Scott Carson in the 16th minute.

Rooney now has six goals in his last six games. Watch his latest below:

Manchester United conceded the lead later in the first half, with George Thorne equalizing in the 37th minute off a tremendous assist from Chris Martin. The Red Devils went through, though, with Daley Blind and Juan Mata scoring in the 65th and 83rd minutes to send the club to the last 16.
