Barcelona and Atletico Madrid will meet on Tuesday in the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal.

Barcelona is coming off a 2–1 loss to Real Madrid in La Liga play. Barcelona was unbeaten in 39 straight matches until the team fell to Real Madrid on a late Cristiano Ronaldo winner.

In its last Championship League tie, Barcelona toppled Arsenal 5–1 on aggregate to seal a place in the quarterfinals. 

Atletico Madrid beat Real Betis 5–1 in its last match. Atletico Madrid escaped a loss to PSV in its last Champions League match, advancing after a penalty shootout. Diego Simeone’s side are unbeaten away from home in the Champions League this season.

Barcelona is looking to capture its second consecutive UEFA Champions League title. Atletico Madrid knocked Barcelona out of the competition in 2013/14, when Atletico reached the title game before falling to Real Madrid in extra time.
