Tuesday night's Copa Libertadores round-of-16 first leg match between Deportivo Tachira and Pumas in Venezuela was interrupted by one eager four-legged fan.

A dog invaded the pitch at Estadio Polideportivo de Pueblo Nuevo in San Cristobal, halting the match in the eighth minute while happily being chased by multiple players before being carried off the field.

It must have worked a charm for the home side. Tachira scored in the 50th minute through Yuber Mosquera, did not concede an away goal and takes a 1-0 lead into the away leg.

The two clubs meet in the second leg in Mexico next Tuesday.
