It appears Kobe Bryant will be spending his first summer of retirement watching soccer—at least if a new advertisement is any indication.
The recently retired NBA superstar is the centerpiece of a new advertisement for this summer's Copa America Centenario, scheduled to be played in the United States this June.
The tournament, a special–edition event to mark the 100th anniversary of the Copa America, features South American heavyweights like Argentina, Brazil and Chile, as well as CONCACAF powers Mexico and the United States.
Bryant, who has long touted his soccer fandom, narrates and appears in the new commercial, which promotes Copa America Centenario telecasts on Fox, Fox Sports 1 and FX. The tournament begins on June 3, when the United States will take on Colombia at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
In the ad, Bryant lists several stars that will play in this summer's tournament, such as Argentina's Lionel Messi and Uruguay's Luis Suarez. Watch the full video above.
Bryant played his last NBA game in April following a 20–year career.
