Turkey remains alive for the knockout stage of Euro 2016 after a 2-0 win over the Czech Republic in their Group D finale on Tuesday.

Burak Yilmaz and Ozan Tufan scored, as Turkey earned its first points of the competition and can still go through as a third-place finisher, depending on what happens in Wednesday's Group E and Group F finales.

Czech Republic, playing without injured captain Tomas Rosicky, conceded to Yilmaz in the 10th minute, and Turkey ran with it from there. Tufan scored in the 65th minute, despite a hint of offside, to add insurance end eliminate the Czech Republic. Having a -2 goal differential and only three points leaves Turkey susceptible to being pipped to one of the remaining two third-place qualifiers, but it maintains hope after the result.

Croatia wound up winning the group after surprising Spain late with a 2-1 result.
