Euro 2016 host France eyes another trophy on home soil, but it drew a tough half of the knockout bracket, and its first test comes against the Republic of Ireland. 

The Irish went through to the knockout stage on Robbie Brady's late goal against Italy, and they sets their sights on another traditional power, with revenge on the mind. It was in 2009 that France ousted Ireland in the World Cup qualifying playoffs on Thierry Henry's controversial non-handball, which set up William Gallas's decisive strike. There'd be no better way to even the score than by ousting Les Bleus on their home soil.
