One nation with a deep soccer history goes up against one with a burgeoning one, as England and Iceland meet in Euro 2016's round of 16 on Monday.

Both England and Iceland finished second in their groups, with the Three Lions playing well but having trouble in the final third, settling for runner-up behind Wales. Iceland, meanwhile, scored a dramatic goal to pip Portugal for second in its group, continuing its magical underdog run that saw it become the darling of Euro 2016 qualifying. Now it aims for its first knockout win in a major tournament, with a traditional power standing in its way.
