Host France is a step away from playing for the Euro 2016 title on home soil, but it will need to overcome the reigning World Cup champion in order to get there.

Germany and France clash in a semifinal in Marseille, meeting for the first time since the night of the terrorist attacks in Paris last November. They also met in the 2014 World Cup quarterfinals, which Germany won 1-0 en route to the title. The goalscorer that day, center back Mats Hummels, is suspended for this clash, though, and Germany is also without the injured Mario Gomez and Sami Khedira. France is at full strength and will look to ride the momentum of its emphatic win over Iceland into the final.

The winner will play Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal in Sunday's final at the Stade de France.
