Tottenham hopes to host a NFL-Premier League doubleheader in the same day at Wembley Stadium in London in 2018, NFL's executive vice president of international tells ESPN.

"It wouldn't be absolutely out of the question," Waller said. "I don't think you'd want to do it on a regular basis, but on a unique feature, that might be a really interesting idea."

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is also on-board brainstorming of plans.

"I don't think it's something we'd want to try our first game, but that is certainly realistic,” Levy said. “How exciting the idea of having the two biggest leagues in the world from a television perspective -- fantastic! -- play on the same day.”

The NFL has played several games in London and Mexico in recent years as part of the league's effort to grow the sport's presence internationally. Wembley Stadium hosts two NFL games per year as part of its deal with NFL.

Tottenham will play at Wembley Stadium as their new home next to White Hart Lane is built built.
