Arsenal continues EFL Cup play Tuesday when it hosts Reading in the Round of 16.

Striker Olivier Giroud is set to return for the Gunners after nursing a toe injury for the past month. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that although Giroud should be able to play, many of the squad's regulars will rest. The Gunners are coming off a 4-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest in their previous League Cup match, though the team drew 0–0 to Middlesbrough on Saturday in Premier League play.

Reading came away with a 2-1 victory over Brighton in its last EFL Cup match, despite playing with 10 men for most of the contest. The Royals hope the result gives them some positive momentum in their bid for an upset at Emirates Stadium.
