BOWMANVILLE, Ontario (AP) Gustavo Yacaman and Olivier Pla teamed up for a dominating, flag-to-flag victory Sunday in the IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

It was the first victory for both drivers as well as the French-based No. 42 OAK Racing Morgan/Nissan team participating in its first season of racing in North America. Yacaman started the race from the pole position and led every lap of his driving stint before turning the car over to Pla, who followed suit in the 2-hour, 45-minute race that ran without a full-course caution period.

The victory capped a recent streak of strong runs by the No. 42 teammates, as they finished third two races ago in Detroit and second in the most-recent IMSA race at Watkins Glen. Pla crossed the finish line 7.886 seconds ahead of Richard Westbrook in the No. 90 Spirit of Daytona Racing Corvette DP.
