Former NBA Star Allen Iverson is set to host a two-day professional basketball tournament in Las Vegas, according to reports from ESPN. The four-team ‘Las Vegas Superstar Challenge’ will be held at the Thomas and Mack Center, Nov. 12-13.
Iverson will host a press conference on Wednesday, during which he will announce the captains and players participating in the tournament.
Iverson departed the NBA in 2010 and spent last season playing hoops in Turkey. The 2001 NBA MVP led his Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA Finals that year. Iverson has joined the influx of impromptu professional basketball tournaments in wake of the continuing NBA Lockout.
