On his first carry in his first career start, Dallas Cowboys rookie DeMarco Murray raced 91 yards for a touchdown. He finished with 25 carries for 253 yards, a franchise record.

The former Oklahoma Sooner got the start Sunday in place of an injured Felix Jones. The plan was to split carries with Tashard Choice, but Murray was so effective that Choice only got two carries. The franchise single-game record was previously held by Emmitt Smith, while Tony Dorsett held the rookie record. The NFL mark for yards in a game belongs to Vikings' star Adrian Peterson, who rushed for 296 yards as a rookie in 2007.
