New Chicago Cubs president of baseball operations, Theo Epstein, visited Wrigley Field this morning to meet with officials from his new team, according to ESPNBoston.com.

Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts was in attendance for Epstein’s visit. The Cubs have scheduled a press conference for 11 a.m. CT on Tuesday at Wrigley Field to formally introduce Epstein as the Chicago Cubs’ president of baseball operations.

The Red Sox and the Cubs issued a joint statement Friday in which they announced that the 37-year-old Epstein had resigned from his general manager position with the Red Sox and was joining the Cubs organization. Compensation for the former Red Sox general manager has yet to be resolved. The teams have until Nov. 1 to finalize the compensation, according to a deadline set by commissioner Bud Selig.
