Tony Sparano Pleads Official to Review Play

The Sun Sentinel reports that Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano’s job is safe, at least for the time being.

Knowing that his time in Miami may be winding down, CBS4 cameras caught Sparano telling officials, “If I don’t call timeout we’re all (explicit).  Now I’m getting fired.”

Sparano got the timeout, giving officials more time to review Denver Broncos Demaryius Thomas’ touchdown catch at 2:44 left in the game.  But it didn’t do much to overturn the eventual loss.

The Broncos would go on to win 18-15 in overtime.
