Atlanta Falcons fullback Ovie Mughelli, a 2010 Pro Bowl selection, is out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury, according to the team's official site. The Falcons also placed offensive guard Mike Johnson on injured reserve, while adding fullback Mike Cox lineman Kirk Chambers to the roster.

Mughelli has been instrumental in the Falcons' running game over the last two seasons after being signed as a free agent prior to the 2007 season. He was originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2003. Mughelli was injured in Sunday's victory of the Detroit Lions.

Mughelli's season ends with just two carries for one yard, and four receptions for 25 yards and two touchdowns. His primary responsibility was clearing lanes for running back Michael Turner. Johnson was a sixth round draft pick a year ago, and his first action in an NFL game came in Week 6.
