Redskins Tweet That They Will Not Be Signing Terrell Owens

The Washington Redskins announced today via Twitter that they will be making some roster moves today, however they specifically indicated that signing free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens would not be one of them.

“In terms of today's roster moves, this much I can tell you...T.O.? No,” the team tweeted from its official account.

News broke this week that the Redskins would lose their top receiver, Santana Moss, for 5-7 weeks due to a fractured left hand. With their top wide receiver on to the injured reserve list, some had speculated that the risk-taking Redskins might attempt to sign Owens.

Owens, 37, is attempting to make a return from an ACL injury he suffered last year. The former Pro Bowler hosted an open workout for NFL teams yesterday in California, however it was reported that no teams made the decision to attend.
