With large amounts of rain in the forecast tonight, the St. Louis Cardinals will make an announcement at 1 p.m. CST as to whether or not they will postpone tonight’s Game 6 of the World Series, according NBC Sports.

The announcement will be made by Cardinals general manager, John Mozeliak, who will meet with MLB officials at that time.

Despite Wednesday’s poor forecast, Thursday and Friday’s conditions appear to be good, leading speculation that Game 6 could be played one day later, on Thursday. Entering Game 6, the Texas Rangers lead 3-2 in the best of seven series. Should the hosting Cardinals prevail, they would force a Game 7 which will also be played in St. Louis.
