The Washington Redskins tweeted the signing of TE Dominique Byrd and OL Jonathan Compas to the 53-man roster and added RB Tristan Davis to the practice squad via their official Twitter account. Earlier today the Redskins announced they would be making roster moves, not including the available and enigmatic wide receiver Terrell Owens.
The injury-riddled Redskins squad recently placed starting tight end Chris Cooley on injured reserve and starting wide receiver Santana Moss will be out 5-7 weeks due to hand surgery. Starting RB Tim Hightower is also injured, and out for the season with a confirmed torn ACL. After a strong start to the season with three wins in four games, the Redskins were humbled by two consecutive losses to the struggling Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers. The Redskins next contest is Oct. 30 at Ralph Wilson Stadium versus the 4-2 Buffalo Bills.
