NBA Labor Talks End For The Night, To Reconvene Friday
The NBA players and owners met for about six-and-a-half hours Thursday evening, breaking for the night around 9:30 ET according to a tweet from ESPN's Chris Broussard. According to Broussard, talks will begin again at 10:30 ET Friday morning.
According to an earlier tweet from Broussard, the talks have moved into discussion of the hotly-contested issue of the split of Basketball Related Income. "Next round of talks will center on BRI," Broussard wrote. "Players intent on staying at 52%"
This issue is generally expected to be the toughest hurdle to clear as the league and the players attempt to save as much of the NBA's regular season as possible. Thursday afternoon's meetings followed a reportedly-productive 15 hour session that stretched from Wednesday afternoon into the the early-morning hours Thursday.
