Report: Redskins Fullback Mike Sellers Hurts Back, Goes To Hospital

Washington Redskins fullback Mike Sellers has been hospitalized after hurting his back, according to ESPN. The veteran blocking specialist reportedly hurt his back while using a rowing machine in the team’s weight room.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said that Sellers, 36, will remain in the hospital overnight.

Once a staple in the Redskins’ offense, Sellers has seen a decreased role under Shanahan in 2011. The 12-year veteran has played in just four games this season for Washington, and has recorded no rushes or receptions. Last year in 16 games he recorded 20 receptions for 224 yards for the Redskins.
