Hines Ward is "Highly Unlikely" to Play Sunday

Saturday October 29th, 2011

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with the Patriots, but NFL Network's Albert Breer tweeted that it is "highly unilikely" that Ward will play. Ward sprained his ankle last week against the Cardinals and left the game on a cart.

If Ward is not able to play, WR Emmanuel Sanders will get the start instead. Sanders has 13 catches for 173 yards and two touchdowns this season, including five catches for 46 yards and a score last week. Ward has been a nice complement to Mike Wallace, catching 26 balls for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Still, Pittsburgh shouldn't miss Ward much, as, outside of Wallace, Antonio Brown, Heath Miller, and Sanders have all proven to be able pass catchers for QB Ben Roethlisberger.
