McDonald's All American freshman Wayne Blackshear will miss the entire 2011-12 season with a shoulder injury, according to a release from the school. Blackshear was expected to play a major role for the No. 9 Cardinals.

According to the release, Blackshear tore his labrum in practice and will have surgery. The recovery time is typically four months, so Louisville doesn't expect him back. In high school, Blackshear averaged 32.6 points and 14.6 rebounds a game for Morgan Park High School in Chicago.
