David Aldridge of NBA.com is reporting that an agent source has told him that a deal to end the NBA lockout could be reached as soon as Saturday.

Reports have trickled in throughout the day that the league owners and the NBA Players Association have been inching closer to a mutually acceptable collective bargaining agreement. It seems a major breakthrough occurred in negotiations Wednesday night when the two sides held a marathon 15 hour meeting that culminated at 3:20 a.m. the following morning. The lockout has now lasted 120 days, and has already caused the cancellation of the first two weeks of the regular season. Some reports, however, have suggested that the league will still attempt to play a full 82-game season if a deal can be reached soon.
