Following a Tebow-led 45-10 blowout loss against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Denver Broncos head coach John Fox says, “It’s too early to say” who he will start against the Raiders next week, NFL.com reports.
The Denver Broncos have faced a quarterback controversy this season, with many calls for Tebow to be the starter.
Last week, Tebow started against the struggling Miami Dolphins and led his team to a thrilling overtime victory. He threw for 161 yards, two touchdowns and held a passer rating of 91.7. The start against the Detroit Lions showed a distinctly different Tim Tebow, who threw for one touchdown, one interception and a held passer rating of 56.8.
The second-year quarterback has faced media scrutiny and criticism throughout the season. With his great success in college football, the two-time BCS National Championship and 2007 Heisman Trophy winner has yet to solidify himself as an NFL starter.
