The Big East will reportedly invite Boise State, Navy, and Air Force as football-only teams, and SMU, Houston, and UCF as all-sports teams, according to a tweet from Jenn Brown of ESPN.

The conference announced earlier today that they would extend invitations to some potential football-only and all-sports members, however they would not specify which teams would be receiving invites. The Big East was, however, expected to extend six invitations.

Over the last several months the conference has lost Syracuse, Pittsburgh, TCU and most recently West Virginia. As a result, the Big East’s football league was depleted to just Connecticut, Rutgers, USF, Cincinnati, and Louisville. Louisville has also expressed interest in leaving the conference, and attempted to bolt for the Big 12 last week. The Big 12 made the decision to accept West Virginia over Louisville.
