Tashard Choice Claimed by Redskins

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Tashard Choice has been claimed by the Washington Redskins, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Choice was waived last week after getting passed on the depth chart by rookie DeMarco Murray.

Choice's production has dropped recently, and when he had his chance to play after starter Felix Jones was injured, he was completely overshadowed by Murray. He will now join a backfield cobbled together to replace the injured Tim Hightower. Choice will compete for time with rookie Roy Helu and current starter Ryan Torain. Neither back has been particularly effective this season.
