Contrary to earlier reports, New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw’s injured foot will not keep him out of this Sunday’s game, ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted today.

“Person familiar with Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw’s injury texted this : 'Not serious injury – should play Sunday. No surgery (needed),'” Shefter tweeted.

The Newark-Star Ledger reported earlier that Bradshaw was contemplating surgery for an injury he sustained in Sunday night’s game.

The former seventh-round pick left the game against the Miami Dolphins after suffering a cracked bone in his foot.  X-rays taken at the game showed that he had no structural damage.  A screw, inserted into his feet from a previous surgery, was aggravating the injured foot. The fifth-year veteran plays a major role in the Giants’ running game with 440-yards on 111 carries and five touchdowns so far this season.
