Update: Redskins Release Four, Sign Three

Turns out that an earlier report on the Redskins releasing wide receiver Donte Stallworth and signing wide receiver David Anderson was only the tip of the iceberg for a team that's had a busy day.  Mike Jones of the Washington Post's The Insider blog summarizes the Redskins' moves as follows:

In addition to Stallworth, the team waived rookie cornerback Brandyn Thompson, tight end Domnique Byrd, and defensive end Darrion Scott.  Jones reports that the team also released running back Tristan Davis from the practice squad after two weeks.

In their places, the Redskins have reportedly signed Anderson, defensive end Kentwan Balmer and cornerback Domonique Johnson.

Thompson, a rookie corner out of Boise State, has been waived by Washington twice already this season, and has been signed to their practice squad each time.
