Phil Mickelson To Be Inducted Into World Golf Hall of Fame

Phil Mickelson has been voted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, according to a tweet from the PGA Tour’s official account.

The announcement of Mickelson’s honor was made this morning by tour commissioner Tim Finchem, he will be inducted in 2012.

The 41-year-old golfer, often referred to simply as “Lefty,” has won four major championships since joining the tour in 1992. In total, Mickelson has 47 professional wins including 39 on the tour. He is tied for 10th all-time in PGA wins with Tom Watson and Gene Sarazen.
