New York Jets WR Plaxico Burress Misses Practice

New York Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress did not practice today due to stiffness in his lower back, ESPN reports. This is the second consecutive day Burress has missed practice with the injury.

The 34-year-old veteran played through the pain last Sunday in the Jets’ game against the Buffalo Bills. Despite the injury, Burress had his best statistical game of the year, hauling in five catches for 79 yards.

The Jets face  their conference rival, the New England Patriots, this coming Sunday. Both teams are tied for first place in the AFC East with a 5-3 record.
