Free agent catcher Ryan Doumit has declined an offer from the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to a tweet from Los Angeles Times Dodgers beat reporter Mike DiGiovanna.

"Source close to Dodgers says team offered C Ryan Doumit 1-year deal for just under $3 million," DiGiovanna writes. "Doumit passed. Angels still haven't called." Doumit, 30, has spent has spent his entire seven year MLB career with the Pittsburgh Pirates.   In 2011, he appeared in 77 games, batting .303 with  8 home runs.  His career batting average is .271.
