New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan reportedly was recorded swearing at a fan after the Jets’ lost handily to the rival New England Patriots 37-16 this past Sunday, NBC Sports claims.

The NFL will reportedly “take a look” at the video and determine if any action is necessary.

Reports indicate that what ignited the controversial coach to a profanity was an off-screen Patriots fan telling Ryan that Belichick is “better than” him.

Ryan allegedly responded to the fan with an expletive on his way to the locker room after the game. The Patriots and Jets have a long standing rivalry in the AFC East. The Patriots edged out the Jets for first place in the division and sit atop the AFC East with a 6-3 record; the Jets are now 5-4 after the loss.
