Peyton Hillis To Miss Fifth Consecutive Week With Injury

Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur confirmed today that star running back Peyton Hillis will sit out yet-another game this weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NBC.

Sunday will mark the fifth consecutive game the Browns have suited up without Hillis, the team’s leading rusher in the 2010-11 season. The 25-year-old has been battling with a poor hamstring, among other ailments, which has made it hard for him to practice consistently with the team. Last week it appeared Hillis was on pace return to the line-up, however he re-injured his hamstring while making a routine up-the-middle run at practice.

In four games this season, Hillis has ran for 211 yards on 60 carries. He has recorded just two touchdowns.
